Science Competitions
At MLSHS we actively encourage participation by our students in National and International Competitions. Three such competitions are the ICAS Science Competition, the RACI National Chemistry Quiz and the Rio Tinto Big Science Competition. The school heavily subsidises the entry of students into these, and other, competitions. These challenges allow our students to compare their science knowledge and skills with other students from around Australia and the world, and may lead to international events and prizes. All competitors receive certificates and detailed analysis of their performance. Your child will be bringing home entry forms for these competitions in the next few weeks.
