Western Australian Certificate of Education (WACE) Awards and Recognition

The School Curriculum and Standards Authority (SCSA)  is an independent statutory authority that regulates school curriculum and assessment for all Western Australian children from Kindergarten to Year 12. Each year, exhibitions and awards are granted by SCSA to senior secondary students studying Western Australian Certificate of Education (WACE) courses and vocational education and training (VET). The awards recognise individual excellence in both Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) courses and VET. Schools are also recognised for their performance.

In 2024, Year 12 student, Kalliopi Paila, was awarded a Subject Exhibition for English as an Additional Language or Dialect (EAL|D). A Subject Exhibition is only awarded to the top performing student in the subject.

Additionally, Mount Lawley Senior High School was recognised as one of the six best performing schools in the state in EAL/D out of a field of thirty-seven.
